Dr. Govind Singh holds a Ph.D. in Urban Water Management from the Department of Environmental Studies, University of Delhi. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed his Masters in Environmental Studies from the School of Environmental Studies, University of Delhi and he is also the Co-Founder of Delhi Greens NGO. The Delhi Greens NGO has played an instrumental role in generating environmental awareness among the youth and in promoting the principles of sustainable development since 2007.
Dr. Govind Singh is presently working to ensure urban sustainability by balancing contemporary environmental management principles with spiritual ecology and traditional knowledge. He has been a member and coordinator of several environmental programmes, projects, proceedings, and campaigns at regional, national and international platforms. He has also been the brain behind the award winning Delhi Greens Blog and Urban Ecotourism projects both of which are aimed at ensuring environmental harmony and sustainable development.
Dr. Govind Singh has been an active environmental youth leader since his college days and has worked to channelize the energy of the youth towards biodiversity conservation and environmental protection. He continues to mentor, orient and direct young minds, for becoming passionate towards environmental issues, through his academic and organisational involvements.
